DraughtCorp has been supplying quality draught dispensing systems since 1997. We are situated in Stellenbosch, close to Cape Town, South Africa and supply clients both locally and internationally.

Clients include hotels, restaurants, pubs, guest houses, corporate head offices and companies with boxes  at sport stadiums. You can even install them in your private bar at home!

Ceramic and Gold Column

This traditional type column is now available for use in your private bar. The tap and gold plated ringsets  are of the highest quality imported from Italy. With its wrap-around drip tray, it creates an elegant focus point on your bar counter.

This traditional “staatmaker” (dependable one) is ideal for busy pubs or special events where high volumes of ice-cold beer are required. It is very robust, can handle rough treatment and will keep looking good with the minimum of maintenance. Beer is cooled by ice on a cold plate inside the barrel.

Operation

Draught beer is available in 20, 30 or 50 liter stainless steel kegs, which can be ordered from your local liquor store or bought from your favourite brewery.

• Your draught system includes a special coupler that connects to the keg.

• The coupler allows pressurized CO₂ gas to enter and beer to flow out. 

•  A gas cylinder with pressure regulator supplies constant pressure as the keg empties. 

• The CO₂ gas keeps the beer from foaming or getting "flat" and also prevents air from entering and contaminating the beer.

• Cylinders can be bought or rented from your local gas supplier.

As the warm beer flows into the draught system it is cooled by a cold plate or stainless steel coil immersed in ice. The beer is served with a special foam compensated tap to keep the CO₂ in the beer and prevent foaming. A flow control lever on the tap increases the flow in times of dire thirst!  

The kegs can also be kept cool in a fridge and beer flows directly to the tap on top of the fridge. No cooling system is then required.

During use the system should be flushed twice per month to prevent yeast build-up and ensure clear crisp beer at all times. A pressurized cleaning bottle and chemicals are included.
